3) Description of process generating the waste.
  This waste is the solids resulting from the decontamination of tanks and piping that was used to transport product and waste trichloroethylene and trichloroethane from the solvent room to dispensing units within the laboratory. This waste is a mixture of PVC and copper piping, a steel tank, personnel protective equipment, absorbent material and small amounts of residual waste trichloroethylene, trichloroethane, and asphalt distillates. The tank and the piping were cut into small pieces for disposal.
